i ended up going with another free file transfer service (www.sizablesend.com) - after i read some reviews on this site. It is basic but if you only need to send large files sizablesend.com it the shiznit! its free!!!

Pros:

once i signed up, their system was decent, file transfers went smoothly.

Cons:

too expensive when there are other free alternatives out there.
